The decline of the West: and then there were none

The press today is an army with carefully organised weapons, the journalists its officers, the readers its soldiers. The reader neither knows nor is supposed to know the purposes for which he is used and the role he is to play.―Oswald Spengler, The Decline of the West (1918-1922)

If you place your head in a lion’s mouth, then you cannot complain one day if he happens to bite it off.―Agatha Christie

I say now to the Australian government, damn it, wake up. You don’t need any more warnings. You’ve already received enough…

Wake up to this world. There’s a battle raging in the world between the forces of modernity and moderation, and the forces who want to take us back to the early middle ages.”—Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu on the Bondi Beach Massacre.

by Sanjay Perera

THE West is fighting for its survival and most of its people have yet to awaken to this. In 1939, soon after the start of World War II what would be Agatha Christie’s most renowned work was published. The book known presently as And Then There Were None had two other titles that were changed due to changing times, and political correctness[1]. The classic tale which has influenced much fiction since and made into memorable films has ten people left stranded deliberately on an island off England’s Devon coast, amongst whom is a killer: one by one, they are murdered as they try desperately to find out who is responsible. The denouement is one of the most memorable in mystery fiction. It is for that and many other reasons that it is the best-selling mystery of the world. It is also a dark and disturbing work.

Having seen recently the 2015 three-part adaptation of the novel for television, a fine production with an excellent cast, the story—perhaps because of the more than required bloodiness in this version—provided resonance with present times. The original book title had the infamous ‘N-word’ in it but in retrospect shows good reason for being there: it is a commentary on the mentality of the all-white folks on the island who are trapped with a killer. By the end of the tale, it becomes clear that any derogatory reference the initial title had to any minority is diluted; the pejorative force of the word is applied in effect to the ethnic majority of Britain: representatives of whom are engaged in an enforced game of murder on the eve of an even greater bloodbath, World War II. But that was not Christie pandering to a prototype of Woke or postcolonial fetish. It was an accurate perception and insight into Europe and the West on the brink of murderous and economic catastrophe: that it brought upon itself.

Of the ten isolated on the island in Christie’s story, eight have been invited and two others work there but all are apparently guilty of some crime or wrongdoing, and the words from the song which lists what happens to each of the “Ten Little Indians” or “Ten Little Soldier Boys”—mirrors the death of various characters in the story. Words have consequences but, in our time, they can be overused and overinterpreted to an extent that they lose their meaning. Indeed, many words morph and turn from at times an innocuous or specific means of expression into something nefarious. And the issue is no longer what a word means exactly, or what it was meant to imply, but how much offence it causes. Even when the intent is not to cause offence: any offence can be derived, and action taken against anyone using a word or a phrase. Social media has become an arena of contention in the worst possible manner, not because of a just cause such as serious defamation or actual threat but because apparently someone’s feelings can be hurt (not in a manner of consequence to most reasonable people)—but due to an arbitrary ideological taxonomy that ‘offence’ has been perpetrated. What is genuinely unconscionable is that some ‘authority’ or the police deem to what extent hypersensitivity due to ‘offence’ is actionable yet this is denied as being authoritarian, dictatorial or a manifestation of totalitarianism.

The import of Christie’s work, and it could be argued much else of her mystery stories, appears to show a European (especially British) society bent on ingenious crimes underscored by the dysfunctionality, unholy obsessions, and ungovernable passions that define much of human history. However, viewed today the tales depict a society that is harming itself; the two World Wars Christie lived through, and her experience as a nurse in World War I, had opened her eyes to the violence Europeans were adept at inflicting on themselves. But the two horrendous World Wars and subsequent vicious conflicts of the twentieth-century have shaken the confidence of the West in itself: coupled with economic battering and a so-called new world order with the rise of the UN.

The help given to states post-World War II in the form of aid and the practice of humanitarian assistance has been, sadly, exploited mercilessly by the corrupt all over: and by specific groups with vicious agendas that undermine the generosity of others. The advent of political correctness resulted from misguided tolerance that, ironically, was reciprocated with intolerance; easing of censoriousness in attitudes have mutated into censorship of even reasonable free speech: openness of thought and attitudes into untrammelled open national borders; acceptance of others into mindless acceptance of mass immigration; patience with cultural differences into brutal, violent, depraved ideologies camouflaged as religion holding sway; so-called national shame and guilt complexes due to a colonial past fearing to offend into the dominance of the barbaric, and the deranged not ashamed about anything but offended by everything.

Path to perdition

The Britain that helped bring about civil liberties and parliamentary democracy, and a forerunner in ending slavery; a source of scientific discovery; that country, known as the UK, is on the brink of collapsing into the dark ages. The term ‘Dark Age’ arose with the fall of the Western Roman Empire and the rise of what is seen as economic, cultural and intellectual decline from the 5th to 10th centuries. It also saw the invasion of Europe by barbarians who crashed through the gates. The cycle is repeating itself in the most disturbing terms. Not many seem to have learned from the past and are repeating the dire mistakes that are bringing the West down. From the land that initiated habeas corpus and Magna Carta: that Britain, under quisling Keir Starmer’s regime, is where at least 30 arrests are made a day for ‘offensive’ posts across social media and other platforms.
It was reported that:

The crime of sending ‘grossly offensive’ messages or sharing content of an ‘indecent, obscene or menacing character’ on electronic communications networks is punishable by up to two years’ imprisonment or an unlimited fine.
But thousands of people have been detained and questioned for sending messages that simply cause annoyance, inconvenience or anxiety to others.
The alarming differences in arrest rates have provoked criticism from civil liberties groups, who say that some authorities are over-policing the internet and threatening free speech through ‘vague’ communications laws.
…the number of arrests is ‘extremely concerning’ in a liberal democracy like the UK.
Total arrests fell to 9,700 last year from a record high of 13,800 in 2023, but remain higher than pre-pandemic levels.

Not only are Britons being penalised through draconian censorship laws that are making social media a minefield for the exercise of freedom of speech but any comments that are deemed offensive against illegals (so-called asylum seekers coming in by boatloads). The British economy is taking a thrashing and taxpayer money is used to house the illegals in luxury hotels, within small towns, and former military bases. In the UK the Starmer regime is planning to send about 600 illegals into a military training camp in Crowborough, Sussex. They will be based there at taxpayers’ expense: none of this was voted for by the bamboozled British electorate. Several weekend marches have been carried out by residents in the area protesting the move as it potentially endangers them, especially the young. All of the illegals that are supposed to be installed at the camp are men; and as in previous such influxes, they fall into the category of those aged 18 to 39: prime ages for military service andoperations (see “The economy of violence: reprised”).

Credit: Centre for migration control.

It is not a coincidence that 600 men is the size of a battalion of soldiers, and it is not happenstance that the Labour government is housing them at a military base; the subliminal messaging is not to be overlooked—neither should the fact that as in many other places in Britain the illegals are free to come and go as they please; this explains why they have been caught committing crimes such as sexually assaulting young women. As reported:

Next month the government plans to house 600 asylum seekers at this military camp here and then they will be rotating hundreds more through the camp every 2 to 3 months. Now, a few things that you should know about this area…you can take a bus to Brighton, which is an hour away, where just days ago, three men in their 20s were charged with raping a woman on Brighton’s famous beach. All three have been confirmed by the Home Office to be asylum seekers from the Middle East: which is exactly the profile of the people who will be housed at this camp. You can see why people are so concerned.

As a resident of Crowborough says:

We are all scared… It’s the undocumented men [illegals who destroy their papers before landing in Britain], and it is such a huge saturation for a small area. My son is 11. He won’t get to experience walking to school on his own. These two [her daughters] won’t be able to walk to school easily on their own. We’re very rural. It It’s going to be hard.

Another resident states:

What security is going to be put in place for our kids? They can come here, look at the children, follow them home; we’re standing against that…I mean, all of them being men all together in one tiny town. They’re going to venture out into our local town, kids’ parks…We’re most of us just terrified. We’re scared. We’re worried. At first it started off just a little concern, but then when we see the bigger picture of what’s been going on, we’ve actually opened our eyes to things, it’s quite terrifying.

Over the last couple of weeks several thousand locals protested the move even in the rain. Many of the cadets who used the Crowborough camp have been displaced as many others have been elsewhere in England, they currently do not have a place to train: while illegals of military ages and battalion strength are taking over their camps. This comes as Britain’s defence capabilities continue to be weakened. In a recent interview with renowned historian David Starkey former UK naval officer Rear Admiral Chris Parry comments on the British military’s disturbing situation. The British army has shrunk from over 160,000 to over 72,000 men.

Parry explains that he made these prescient comments almost a decade ago:

I gave a speech to all the heads of the NATO armed forces and a lot of politicians and I was asked what the top five threats were to Europe; and that was my job at the time to look at that sort of thing and I said the number one threat that we’re going to face over the next 20 years is uncontrolled migration from North Africa and the Middle East: lots of booing and hissing. Number two threat of returning Russia [as a power]. Number three threat, a rising China. Number four threat, 20,000 unallocated jihadis, which became Islamic State. I didn’t know that at the time. And I said, number five, is going to be the collapse of the free world [West] middle class.

And I got an interview with the Secretary of State [for Defence] at the time who told me my career was over because I was alarmist. He also said I was sexist for some reason and I was also racist. I thought…I am in this job to give you advice about these things…. I knew that would be my last job as a result.

The French, along with other Westerners, stopped seeing their own culture as something excellent, something worth protecting and transmitting. It could be substituted with something novel. If culture is replaceable, and if nothing is lost in the change, then the imposition of new cultures upon the old—and new peoples upon the old who bring new cultures—poses no danger. The old way of life, the old culture, and the old people are all expendable. Indeed, replacing them might even make us better off. Nations, entire peoples, are replaceable.

By losing the capacity to perceive their own cultural excellence, Westerners lost the capacity to perceive how mass immigration would displace their own cultures and peoples.— Nathan Pinkoski, writer and researcher from his piece on controversial thinker and author Renauld Camus: “Renaud Camus on Replacement”.

_____

Meanwhile, on the economic front things are declining quickly. The British government has inexcusably allowed in so many illegals that they make up 44% of net migration. There are 7,000 more of them living in hotels since Labour took office last year. This has economic costs which only worsen as this year alone 110,000 illegals were allowed in. While the inundation of illegals continues, Britishers are leaving due to the difficulties faced thanks to a badly managed economy, political uncertainty under a shaky vacillating Starmer regime, and the inflow of unvetted, poor quality, and criminally inclined illegals. As former Conservative minister, investor, and broadcaster Jacob Rees-Mogg says about British nationals who left the country recently:

Of the 252,000 who left, 68% were aged between 16 and 34. Why does this matter? Well, the people leaving between 16 and 34 are likely to be our most highly educated, the strongest future earners; the people who will drive economic success for this country in the decades to come…They’re leaving because they don’t view this country as a land of opportunity anymore. They may be doctors who can’t get work in the NHS [National Health Service] because of crazy employment practices. They may be scientists who are leaving for better opportunities in the United States. They may be students turned down for social engineering purposes by our great universities going to the universities in the United States that are at least as good…

They are likely to be the cream of the crop, the most entrepreneurial, the most driven people. [This] is a reflection on the economic policies of [Chancellor of the Exchequer] Rachel Reeves and [PM] Starmer. Policies that have made a society that backs the skiver against the striver…

Then we should look at who’s coming in because it’s record numbers of asylum seekers. Forty-four per cent of net migration is asylum seekers. Now think of the people who are leaving, the people who are the most driven, most likely to be successful, the people are going to earn their living in the future. And who are we taking in? We’re taking in people that we house in hotels. And the numbers have gone up or we house in private rented accommodation, people who are a cost to society. The cost of asylum seekers, according to the OBR [Office for Budget Responsibility], is going up by another £1.5 billion.

In a recent Reform UK press conference entrepreneur and key party member Zia Yusuf commented on Reeves’ dubious decision to raise £26 billion in taxes to the advantage of illegals over citizens who must pay those taxes. He stated:

In [our] view…it should be foreign nationals who first and foremost bear the brunt of that. For too long, it has been the case of British citizens being told, ‘Pay more tax, accept worse services.’ Well, there’s basically unlimited money available, blank checks for foreign nationals. We saw that for example, you’d have seen in the OBR document today, Home Office saying that spending on asylum accommodation, it’s going to be £15 billion over the next decade. Not the £4.5 billion, which is an already outrageous number. It’s going to be £15 billion…

How can we justify spending £14 billion a year on foreign aid while, for example,15 year-olds in Wales have a lower educational attainment than 15-year-olds in Turkey, and the British government sends hundreds of millions of pounds in foreign aid to Turkey. How does that make any sense at all?

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage also states how Reeves has manipulated the ‘two child cap’ to benefit illegals and their burgeoning families vis-à-vis British citizens. Tax credits will now be given “to people who are already living on benefits or who were not born in this country. And that is why the cost of this will be £3 billion” for taxpayers. This complements an earlier statement by Yusuf that the national cost of the NHS (National Health Service) is over £2,700 per capita. The maternity cost borne by it has driven up the financial burden as “the migrant, foreign national birth rate is 30% higher than it is for British nationals: and each one of those births cost £55,000.”

There is much more to this than financial costs as there are significant social, security and political stability issues involved that have serious consequences for Britain and other Western states with massive illegals pouring in. Australia faces similar issues with regards to excessive migration particularly in recent years from the Third World. As commentator Jordan Knight explains:

Australia’s had a fairly high immigration rate since 2000… but it has worked. It was around a hundred thousand a year…quite high. It was growing the population by about 1% every year for 20 years. But in the last few years since Labour’s Anthony Albani came in numbers have exploded. We had 737,000 in one year alone, which is huge. And this has not slowed down.

In Australia, this has led to the young being locked out of housing due to exorbitant prices and rents have skyrocketed to almost 50% of income due to sharp population increases in cities (UK has an analogous problem).

[It was reported that at Australia’s Bondi Beach at least “12 people were killed in the attacks hours earlier on a crowd attending the first night of Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish festival celebrating the endurance of the faith. One of two gunmen was killed at the scene, while the other was injured and taken into custody in a critical condition.” The attackers are a father and son terror team named Sajid and Naveed Akram. The casualties including children are at least 16 dead and over 40 injured.]

Citing Freud’s notorious ‘kettle-logic’ argument, he [Renauld Camus] notices the same pattern of argument about migration into France:

Firstly, I’ve never borrowed a cauldron from you; secondly, your cauldron was already leaking when you lent it to me; and thirdly, it was intact when I gave it back to you.

This is a version of an argument I have described elsewhere as being among the defining moves of the pro-mass-migration movement: first, that it isn’t happening, that what you are seeing with your eyes you are not seeing; second, that it is happening but it is good for you; third, that it may not be good for you but you deserve it; and finally—it doesn’t matter, because it’s going to happen anyway.—Douglas Murray, commentator and author, “The crime of noticing”.

Such matters are addressed in a remarkable US State Department briefing end of last month; the briefer was a Senior State Department Official who made candid comments and responded to questions from the foreign press. The title of the briefing is “Addressing the Impact of Mass Migration on Human Rights”.The statement for the briefing included:

[We have instructed] all of our embassies in Europe as well as Canada, Australia, and New Zealand to engage the government, to let them know the United States’ concerns surrounding mass migration, and to let them know that the United States stands ready, willing, and able to support them in handling what we see as an existential crisis. I’m sure you all saw the tweet thread that we put out simultaneously, and I would just like to reiterate what that tweet thread says, which is that mass migration is an existential threat to Western civilisation and the safety of both the West and the world.

We are particularly concerned about not only the violation of national sovereignty, which in itself is already an egregious violation of basic rights and the rights of sovereign citizens in these countries, but also human rights abuses and what we see as very egregious human rights concerns surrounding mass migration and the facilitation of mass migration.

Just to go through a couple of those concerns, the foremost of these is sexual assault. If you look at Europe, for example, and various countries in Europe, there are concerning increases that we’re seeing in violent sexual attacks, particularly on women and young girls, by people of a migration background, particularly people of extremist Islamic background as well, everything from violent rape gangs and organised rape gangs in the United Kingdom to targeting of young girls in other countries. We also see instances of human trafficking, antisemitic and anti-Christian attacks, largely by people of radical Islamic backgrounds…

Illegal migration is the big kind of—the elephant in the room. But mass migration more broadly is a concern in itself. Obviously, we know there are good people out there. America has many—its history is one of many great people coming in the legal way, assimilating into American culture and contributing. The President has been very clear that he supports that kind of immigration.

_____

When the immigrants come in small numbers, they seek to assimilate. When they come in large numbers, they seek to dominate. The question is who’s stronger, who will win, and will the Europeans manage to unite to stand against the forces of radicalism and extremism and fundamentalism…

We [Israel] are the last front. If we lose, God forbid: you have to be very naive to think that the crocodile will have no more hunger. You have to be very stupid not to realise that the goal of these people of the terror organisations, their goal is really to dominate. This is the nature of their version of Islam, to dominate the world, to have everyone under their boots. And this is what we oppose. So it’s not just to dominate Israel.—Speaker of the Israeli Knesset.

Unsurprisingly, the Australian housing matter arose. The US official further said:

One thing we’re particularly concerned about on the human rights front is the strains that large influxes of migrants can place on markets, particularly housing markets, resources. And so when a region or a town receives a large influx of migration, particularly if there’s legislation like in the case of Ireland where the government will subsidize housing for those migrants by buying out hotels or apartment buildings or what have you, that has a pretty direct adverse impact on the local population—the people that the government in particular has a foremost obligation to.

And so that’s certainly—we’re watching the housing issues in Australia. Beyond that, just we want to caution the Australians. We love the Australian people. We love Australia. As a country, it’s a great ally, and so we just want to warn our friends that if you import a rapid number of individuals of any background, but particularly individuals of a culture that’s radically different than Australia’s without any sort of mechanism for diffusing the impact, that can—that can lead to political unrest, that can lead to economic instability.

Other pertinent and difficult matters raised by the State Department official include:

One of our biggest grievances about the international human rights community is its selectivity, the fact that it often waxes poetic about institutional violence against women and girls, which it should, but then when little girls are raped in the United Kingdom over the course of years and the government doesn’t do anything about it, or a little girl is raped in Sweden by a migrant, no one calls that out….

And it’s not just migration, mind you. This is also the case with free speech. Free speech is important everywhere, obviously. I don’t mean to diminish it in any part of the world, but for some reason, when people are arrested for praying outside of abortion clinics in the United Kingdom, the human rights community is silent. People care about race-based violence and incitement to violence, as they should, but when white people are systemically targeted in South Africa, the human rights community is conspicuously silent…we call on governments and the international community to do something about it, no matter how politically incorrect they deem it to be.

Censorship; credit: Anton Vierietin.

This month, the EU carried on its tradition of censoring free speech in violation of what is traditionally regarded a cornerstone or necessity of ‘western liberal democracies’. The EU has decided to impose a fine on Elon Musk’s X platform (formerly Twitter) which indeed does allow for free speech and the ability to report any abuse; it does have open, honest, and in some instances—well thought out critical comments and posts. It also has concomitant statements by public figures who are often censored and misrepresented by the mainstream media: it is thus a source of information for what is suppressed from public knowledge as it is not reported by the mainstream. It is, therefore, to be expected that the EU—that bastion of mindless bureaucracy—to take umbrage at what appears on X. It is reported that X was fined US$140 million:

For breaching online content rules, the first sanction under landmark legislation that once again drew criticism from the US government.

While X did not respond to an emailed request for comment, Musk replied ‘Bullshit’ under a European Commission post about the fine. He also reposted several messages criticising the decision and wrote: ‘Freedom of speech is the bedrock of democracy. The only way to know what you are voting for.’ …

Europe’s crackdown on Big Tech to ensure smaller rivals can compete and consumers have more choice has been criticised by the administration of US President Donald Trump, which says it singles out American companies and censors Americans…

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr denounced the EU’s fine.

‘The European Commission’s $140 million fine isn’t just an attack on @X, it’s an attack on all American tech platforms and the American people by foreign governments. The days of censoring Americans online are over,’ Rubio posted on X…

Ahead of the EU decision, US Vice President JD Vance said on X: ‘Rumors swirling that the EU commission will fine X hundreds of millions of dollars for not engaging in censorship. The EU should be supporting free speech not attacking American companies over garbage’

The US Democrats’ sinking ship; picture credit: A.F. Branco.

In truth, X hosts comments by certain European leaders who rail openly against the bizarre open borders policies that precipitated much critical discussion on the platform. However, some European states are trying to restrict immigration and asylum seekers such as Poland, Hungary, Italy, Slovakia and Czech Republic who are not willing to give in to the EU’s extortionate demand under its authoritarian ‘Migration Pact’: which expects members to pay in assistance to other members for the illegal immigrant burden (which the EU encouraged). Hungary has bravely stood up against the EU’s dictatorial injunctions. As Hungarian leader and PM Viktor Orbán says on X:

With today’s decision, Brussels is attempting to force Hungary to pay even more or take migrants in. This is unacceptable. Hungary already spends enough to protect the Union’s external border. We will not take a single migrant in, and we will not pay for others’ migrants. Hungary will not implement the measures of the Migration Pact. The rebellion begins!

Earlier, Hungary resisted Brussels gangsterism as Orbán’s other iconic X post reveals (watch the video in the link):

Hungarian premier Orbán invites tourists to ‘Experience Europe the way it should be’ in Hungary; credit: Hungarian Conservative.

Orbán is clearly trolling most of the effete western European leaders who have caved in to Brussels and do not stand up to illegals: who are ruining their societies and countries through bankruptcy in funding illegals, and allowing them to foment unrest. Though Italy is also taking a tough stance against uncontrolled immigration and illegals it is clear that much of western Europe is being subjugated by the EU; it is an object lesson that some former eastern European states show integrity, courage, and respect for their nation and citizens in their stance compared to western European states: who show non-existent leadership, self-loathing and a desire to dishonour their nation by bringing in the worst of the worst—they have transformed the strengths of liberal democracy into pusillanimity.

The massive illegal immigration complements fifth columns already embedded within western states. Not only does it include so-called western liberal elites and the mainstream media but other immigrants whose loyalty has switched openly from their western host country, or even country of birth, towards violent ideologies, doctrines commanding murder masquerading as religion: underwritten by a text that is effectually a manual for war against those who do not bend the knee in submission to it. In some parts of Europe proper Christmas preparations and celebrations are being cancelled, and security concerns heightened. In Germany, greater security in general and at Christmas markets have increased by about 44%. This is taken seriously due to “last December’s SUV attack at the Magdeburg Christmas market, which killed six people and injured more than 300”.

And yet again, we are warned:

German authorities have arrested five men suspected of being militant Islamists planning an attack on a Christmas market in southern Bavaria, police and prosecutors said in a joint statement…

Three Moroccan nationals aged 22, 28 and 30, an Egyptian national aged 56 and a 37-year-old Syrian were detained on Friday at the Suben border crossing between Germany and Austria…

Investigators believed that the men intended to drive a vehicle into a crowded market in the Dingolfing-Landau area with the aim of killing or injuring as many people as possible…adding that authorities suspected an Islamist motive.

A psychiatrist from Saudi Arabia was charged with killing and injuring people at the Magdeburg Christmas market in 2024; picture of car credit: .news24online.

We are told further in the same report: “In Prague, large concrete blocks have been placed along popular embankments and around key foot-traffic areas, while police have increased patrols to monitor potential targets. In Budapest, additional plain-clothes officers are circulating through crowds to identify suspicious behaviour and improve response speed.”

Another piece says: “The cancellations reveal a growing unease in Germany, where mass migration, public safety, and cultural preservation become increasingly incompatible. What used to be cozy symbols of community and tradition are now burdened by fears of violence and by regulations intended to prevent it.”

This is, unfortunately, far more serious than it may appear. Europe is no longer Europe when a central aspect of its culture and history is being effaced and replaced by brainless mass immigration and siphoning in of illegals. In Britain an Islamist MP in Birmingham, Iqbal Mohamed, addressed other Independent Islamist MPs (with former Labour leader Jermy Corbyn present and applauding), and Palestinian flags on display:

These events, these activities, this unity must grow and continue and take over not just parts of Birmingham but the whole of Birmingham, the whole of the West Midland, the whole grassroots democracy in action…You see the power of solidarity. The power of all of us together…

Together we are powerful. Remember that, and take that message onto the streets of Birmingham and share it with every single person you know in this country and abroad.

While this takes place openly in Britain, Trump’s America is doing what it can to counter a threat to American identity and interests. Trump has designated certain chapters of the Muslim Brotherhood as Foreign Terrorist Organisations and specially designated global terrorists. The Brotherhood is banned in other states as well such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria and Russia. Following suit, Florida has designated “the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as foreign terrorist organisations.”

Credit: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, X.

Earlier, Texas Governor Greg Abbott had also designated:

The Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as foreign terrorist organisations and transnational criminal organisations. This designation authorizes heightened enforcement against both organisations and their affiliates and prohibits them from purchasing or acquiring land in Texas.

‘The Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR have long made their goals clear: to forcibly impose Sharia law and establish Islam’s ‘mastership of the world,’ said Governor Abbott. ‘The actions taken by the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR to support terrorism across the globe and subvert our laws through violence, intimidation, and harassment are unacceptable. Today, I designated the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR as foreign terrorist organisations and transnational criminal organisations. These radical extremists are not welcome in our state and are now prohibited from acquiring any real property interest in Texas.’

Texas has been targeted by Islamists for some time trying to convert it into an epicentre to spread Islamism through the US. It is reported:

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed a lawsuit against the East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC), Community Capital Partners (CCP), and several of their leaders, alleging that they engaged in an illegal land development scheme that violated Texas securities laws.

EPIC City, recently rebranded as The Meadow, is a proposed Islamic housing development in North Texas that has drawn controversy throughout the year.

According to the lawsuit, CCP—formed by EPIC as a vehicle to purchase and develop more than 400 acres in Hunt and Collin counties—engaged in fraudulent practices while soliciting investments for the EPIC City project. Promotional materials allegedly described the development as the ‘epicenter of Islam in North America’ and implied it would be reserved for Muslims, despite assurances to the contrary…

Governor Greg Abbott has also signed legislation this year which he said would prevent similar developments by banning so-called ‘Sharia compounds’ in Texas. The new law removes certain religious exemptions under the Texas Fair Housing Act for organisations that own more than 25 acres, making it illegal to limit property sales to members of a single religion or to impose religious restrictions on resale.

Abbott has accused EPIC City’s backers of attempting to create a community governed by Sharia law, calling the development ‘religious segregation disguised as religious liberty.’

Further evidence has been cited on this growing issue with an increase in mosques in Texas from 166 in 2010 to 224 in 2020. Texas Congressman Chip Roy says:

CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood, and a vast array of NGOs—are all affiliated with groups trying to move people in and exploit immigration laws: to bring people into the US who adhere to Sharia Law. You can go after Sharia Law because it’s a direct contradiction to Western civilisation and the rule of law. It undermines our religious liberty because Sharia Law is at odds. That is why the Governor was correct to point out that these Sharia courts are in conflict with Texas law…

And we need to stand to be resolved and stand up on the rooftops and state our Christian country won’t be infiltrated by people who seek to undermine it. It’s a political move and we’ve got to stop it.

And as the reporter interviewing Roy continues: “Western civilisation and the constitution of the US cannot be a suicide pact. There has to be something that allows for the proliferation of liberty not the extinguishment of liberty.”

Credit: Texas AG Ken Paxton, X.

This is a matter that is treated with severity, for Congressman Randy Fine (FL-06) says that Senator Tommy Tuberville has recently introduced a companion bill to strengthen Fine’s ‘No Sharia Act’ legislation; this effectively prohibits the application of Sharia law anywhere in the US. Senator Tuberville states:

Sharia Law is fundamentally anti-American and has no place in our country…If you want to peacefully practice your religion, you have every right to do so under the Constitution. But if you want to come to the United States and advocate for the practice of Sharia Law over US law, you should not be here. We do not want people who chant ‘death to America’ residing in our communities and endangering our families. We must protect American values, not apologise for them. I applaud my House colleagues for joining me in this effort to preserve our Constitutional and God-given rights.[2]

In Congressman Fine’s own words:

Sharia—a radical ideology that wages war on our Constitution, threatening our freedoms and way of life—has no place in America…From Muslim-only enclaves in Texas to No-Go Zones in Michigan, Sharia’s influence is spreading unchecked. Enough is enough—it stops now! We cannot let an ideology that undermines the rule of law and the rights of women and children conquer America, as it has in the UK and France…[there are an estimated 85 Sharia courts in UK making it the capital of such courts in Europe].

This crucial legislation bars US courts from enforcing Sharia or any foreign system that violates our constitutional rights, protecting America’s legal and cultural foundation. Sharia is completely incompatible with Western civilisation and cannot be allowed to exist in America…

We’ve seen what has happened in the UK and across Europe with the spread of sharia, and it is not an exaggeration to say it is coming here next. Well, we are not going to let that happen. This is America.

Much of this is inspired by Trump’s clear leadership in standing up for his country’s and citizens’ interests and welfare. There is finally clearer perception of what the threats are in the US. Trump even posted this on his Truth Social account on the rising Islamist trend in Minnesota:

Minnesota Governor and former Democratic Vice-Presidential candidate Tim Walz is under fire and scrutiny for allegations of massive fraud involving COVID-19. We are told:

Feeding Our Future, a nonprofit founded in 2016 that purported to help feed school children, had partnered with dozens of local businesses under the pretense of providing food aid.

The nonprofit, which dissolved in 2022, and its partners billed the state, claiming to have helped feed tens of thousands of needy children. In reality, most of that money was squandered on foreign real estate projects, luxury cars, and more.

Other organisations besides Feeding Our Future committed fraud with Minnesota’s social safety net as well.

The fraud largely revolved around dozens of people in the Somali diaspora. Minnesota is home to about 80,000 Somali Americans.

Additionally, we are told that the fraud amounts to US$48 million and may be the biggest such scam in America; money was not only apparently sent to Somalian terrorist group al-Shabaab but wired to Chinese and Kenyan banks.

Similarly, Germany is realising slowly it has to act for its own good:

The German Interior Ministry…banned the group ‘Muslim Interaktiv,’ which calls for a worldwide caliphate and rejects the democratic order enshrined in Germany’s constitution, the Basic Law.

A ministry press release described the association ‘Muslim Interaktiv’ as ‘opposed to the constitutional order and the idea of international understanding,’ adding: ‘The association will be dissolved. The assets of Muslim Interaktiv will be confiscated.’…

Founded in 2020, authorities believe the group is affiliated with the Hizb ut-Tahrir (HuT) organisation, which was banned in 2003 after promoting violence and the killing of Jewish people…

Most recently, a few weeks after the Hamas-led terrorist attacks of October 7, 2023, which left more than 1,200 people dead in Israel, the international network ‘Samidoun—Palestinian Solidarity Network’ was banned in Germany, as were all activities of Hamas in Germany…

‘We will respond with the full force of the law to anyone who aggressively calls for a caliphate on our streets, incites hatred against the state of Israel and Jews in an intolerable manner, and despises the rights of women and minorities,’ Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt said in the press statement.

He said that associations such as ‘Muslim Interaktiv’ would be prevented from ‘undermining our free society, despising our democracy, and attacking our country from within.’

The Islamic Center Hamburg (IZH) was under investigation for several months over its alleged support for Lebanon’s Hezbollah group which is backed by Iran. Hezbollah is classified as a terrorist group by Germany; picture credit: Daniel Bockwoldt.

On the Islamist radicalisation via social media we discover:

Senator for the Interior of the city state of Hamburg Andy Grote spoke of a ‘blow against modern TikTok-Islamism,’ drawing attention to what is currently one of the biggest concerns for German investigators: in recent months, there have been several cases of Islamist-motivated acts or preparations for acts involving very young people, who have rarely been targeted by investigators in the past.

The social media app TikTok is the medium of choice for those seeking to reach a young audience.

Hamburg intelligence chief Torsten Voss stressed that the move protected religious freedom, as the ban ‘was not against Muslims, but against enemies of the constitution who are exploiting Islam for political reasons.’

Back in December 2024, for example, the state of Baden-Württemberg’s domestic intelligence agency warned that Islamism today is not the same as it was a few years ago. Salafist preachers and influencers now use social media to spread their Islamist worldview among young people…

The intelligence agency specifically mentioned TikTok, Instagram, and similar platforms designed to ‘appeal to young people and minors with fast-paced and entertaining formats’ that include extremist content.[3]

In Norway, recently, iconic British activist, author and investigative journalist Tommy Robinson was launching the Norwegian language version of his latest book. At the launch and before Robinson’s talk, the editor of his book had this to say:

Many of us have seen the writing on the wall for years or even decades. We have witnessed a slow decline of the West. In many ways: security-wise, socially, economically, demographically, intellectually, but perhaps above all, spiritually. The evidence is so vast that I could spend the rest of the evening talking about it. But let me just state a few examples. In Germany these days, you cannot have a public Christmas market without heavy security against terrorism. And it’s a security so heavy that many local authorities cannot afford it. Several German Christmas markets have been cancelled this year.

In Finland, there’s a politician who has previously been a minister who’s been under prosecution for six years because she quoted the Bible while she was criticizing the church’s role in an LGBT pride event. And the Finnish Supreme Court is currently deciding whether she committed a crime or not. So we are waiting for the conclusion. Is it a crime to cite the Bible in Europe today?

But perhaps worst of all, in Northern Europe and in Western Europe, the indigenous populations are facing a future where they will no longer be a majority in their own countries, at least in the absence of huge political changes. These shrinking populations are increasingly subject to taxation, to exploitation, and for the benefit of often hostile immigrants, also for the benefit of their own so-called leaders and for privileged minorities among themselves. Well, nothing of this is new.

So what is new? It is the pace of change. The change is going so fast now. For decades, we had a slow decline of our societies. In recent years, it has turned into a fast decline. Of people who are not brainwashed or distracted are increasingly suspecting that they are about to lose their countries, maybe even their wealth, perhaps even their safety. They feel that this is profoundly unjust, but they also feel powerless. Most of them are afraid to speak out.

As a result of this, for many years, it has been the unpleasant job of dissidents to raise their voices, to wake people up, to warn their fellow citizens. Their reward has not been so nice. [see “Charlie Kirk”.]

The West is in decline. Its strengths have been transformed into weakness because much of its population has been lulled into thinking that being polite and civilised or tolerant means allowance for open borders and bringing in masses of those with antediluvian and destructive attitudes, cultures and vicious ideologies. The West is confused in fending off attacks from ideologues in their society working with illegals; many law-abiding citizens and government officers are not always certain who is the enemy: this is symptomatic of hybrid or fifth-generational warfare which uses social media and infiltration of institutions in a country to wage aggression; many so-called ‘influencers’ have been bought over to propagate ideologies and cultures that are antithetical to that of the host country. The ‘leaders’ in western governments are not only appeasers of Islamists but are seemingly in cahoots with those who seek to takeover and cancel Western civilisation—and push for a resurgence of the dark ages.

The very essence of modernity is the fact that everything–and really everything–can be replaced by something else, which is absolutely monstrous.—Renaud Camus, French writer and thinker.

One day, millions of men will leave the southern hemisphere to go to the northern hemisphere. And they won’t go there as friends. Because they will go there to conquer. And they will conquer it by populating it with their sons. It is the belly of our women that will grant us victory.—Algerian President Houari Boumédiène addressing the UN, 1974.

Taking place openly—no longer hidden in plain sight—is the deluge into the West that is the great replacement of western peoples, culture, intellectual traditions and spiritual values; it is the attempt to crush Judeo-Christian principles and cancel any attempts for even a proper or peaceful celebration of Christmas. The exploitation of liberal democratic values has led the West to tolerate indiscriminately the intolerant, expecting the intolerant to be tolerant towards them: this is a reductio ad absurdum of the most dangerous kind. The Western peoples are now disposable, redundant, destined for replacement by those oppose to them. The West has allowed into its land those who insist on their own laws, way of life, and eradicate as much as possible that of its host country.

In addition, over a million have already been killed in the disastrous Russia-Ukraine war (not including civilian casualties); as Europe loses more life others are illegally coming and replacing them at a rapid rate. This is exacerbated by the series of crimes, brutal murders and assaults that traumatise many; more life is lost through mass terror attacks. This is a culling of the European population; America is experiencing the same. Moreover, the West has been distracted by the possibility of being dragged into a conflict with Russia over Ukraine while the actual war against them collectively has been raging at home through the invasion of illegals. The vast majority of the gullible western population is just starting to grasp that they are being debilitated and conquered in stages; and that they have been tricked into believing, apart from the Ukraine front, they are currently at ‘peace’: when they are bleeding from jihadist attacks within such as the recent Bondi Beach massacre. Westerners are in the process of being replaced in every way including the most significant aspects of their heritage, history, and way of life—the remnants of the liberal are being erased increasingly by the illiberal; the tolerant by the intolerant; the economically and technologically advanced by the regressive, the medieval. For certain, the West is in an existential doom loop spiralling into decimation. The enemy within—domestic and foreign—is a clear and present danger.

The mass invasion by illegals is an onslaught that has resulted in an infection of the body politic: that metastasizes into the savagery of violent sexual assaults; virulent protests in support of terrorists; deadly antisemitism; cancellation of free thought and speech; the abjuration of reason for the embracement of a death cult; the targetted destruction of Judeo—Christian values, institutions: abetted by elites, governments, bureaucracies, judiciaries, police, and human rights organisations as showcased by the EU. No one voted for this. No sane country or society would do so, no liberal democracy within the bounds of reason would vote for the abrogation of self-determination, agency, independence and for their own destruction. Yet a hijacking has occurred eviscerating all that any reasonable state or sound western democracy would intend. It is an imposition. Why would a society vote itself into a concentration camp with the invaders enacting the takeover and setting the rules?

You are dying. I see in you all the characteristic stigma of decay. I can prove to you that your great wealth and your great poverty, your capitalism and your socialism, your wars and your revolutions, your atheism and your pessimism and your cynicism, your immorality, your broken-down marriages, your birth-control, that is bleeding you from the bottom and killing you off at the top in your brains—I can prove to you that those were characteristic marks of the dying ages of ancient States—Alexandria and Greece and neurotic Rome.―Oswald Spengler (1880-1936), writer and philosopher; The Decline of the West (1918-1922)

The mass hysteria in government and media denying this crisis enveloping the West is hurtling it into a 1930s-style insanity that led to the nightmare of WWII; that this phenomena, with the Ukraine-Russia debacle keeping Europe on the edge of war, is occurring again in a different form is undeniable. But with a great diabolical inversion: this time those supporting national sovereignty and supporting their culture and national identity are taking a heroic stand: they are standing up to international bodies, governments, and corrupt courts that uphold the devastation of national identity, culture, and reasonable spiritual practices; facilitating the persecution and killing of legitimate and peaceful citizens of a country.

What has been perverted is the problems of the 1930s which almost a century later have been turned upside down such that the international groups and law established post-WWII have become the instruments of injustice, death and horror. The insistence by ‘world bodies’ that people are forced into vaccinations that have had catastrophic results; countries forced into taking in illegals at the risk of sanctions for disobeying—the very illegals who subvert goodwill through a Trojan horse attack on the population that foolishly took them in. As then, and now, some in the West have made a Faustian pact and sold their souls to the enemy and the consequences are clear. Just as appeasement did not work with dark forces in WWII it is not working now.

As with Christie’s 1930s tale, the complicity of Western elites, the mass media, academia and state institutions in a internecine warfare with its people and national interests is reflective of those trapped on that island with a killer. No one wins, everyone meets death in a brutal way. It is self-destruction on a small scale writ large across the West. If the West is unable to discard collectively its self-loathing, if its obsession with self-harm remains unchecked—there will be none left to pull away from the maelstrom of murder, abnegation of reason, nihilism.

The West is tragically on a path of self-immolation and if it values its survival and that of its people it will have to go further than it is doing now. Trump is the turning point that has given impetus to the courageous moves by Hungary and Poland followed by Italy and Austria. A weakened West leads to a world heading into instability. But fortunately the resistance is growing, and it is taking on a spiritual significance that is inevitable. The Crusades have been resuscitated; the grand stage has been set for the final conflict. And we are either cursed or blessed or both, to experience this. It is a situation that cannot be evaded. It is a moment in world history that must be confronted.

End notes:

[1] The original title was Ten Little Niggers (based on an American minstrel song from 1869) and was replaced subsequently with Ten Little Indians. The title then evolved into And Then There Were None based on the final words of the song.

[2] Senator Tuberville said in support of Trump’s move against the Muslim Brotherhood:

I fully support President Trump’s potential designation of Muslim Brotherhood chapters as terrorist organisations…We can’t be naive about this—the Muslim Brotherhood wants to see every freedom-loving American dead. The reality is that Radical Islam is fundamentally incompatible with our Western values. It isn’t a religion, it’s a death cult and it does not belong here.

This is an important step, but there’s still more to be done. Radical Islam has destroyed Europe and the Middle East. If we don’t wake up, America will be next.

[3] In Singapore it was reported:

The police have issued an Account Restriction Direction to TikTok and a Disabling Direction to Meta to deal with social media posts by former Singaporean Zulfikar Mohamad Shariff.

The 54-year-old Australian has been making social media posts inciting hatred between different racial and religious groups in Singapore.

In 2016, Zulfikar was detained under the Internal Security Act for promoting terrorism and online glorification of terrorist group ISIS…

He had called on Muslims to reject the constitutional, secular, democratic state in favour of an Islamic state governed by syariah [Sharia] law, believing that violence should be used to achieve this goal if necessary.

He caused at least two Singaporeans to become radicalised
