Vance: “Henry Nowak died the same way a civilization dies.”

The deterioration of every government begins with the decay of the principles on which it was founded.—The Spirit of the Laws (1748), Montesquieu.

Freedom is a fragile thing and it’s never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by way of inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. And those in world history who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again.—Then Governor Ronald Reagan, future US President, 1967.

by Sanjay Perera

THE WEST is falling fast. Each day brings tidings and portents of disasters that have an impact on all. A West that begins a downward spiral, that veers into instability will be a problem for the world. The dogs of war arrived on the shores of the West, terrorising its citizens, and eating up its resources. War is waged in many forms. The threat environment has evolved. Waves of mass landings of illegal migrants can be seen as a subset of hybrid or fifth generation warfare. A borderless world where societies have no limits turn out to be ones in which boundaries are not only blurred but eradicated: between the reasonable and unreasonable, justice and blatant injustice, spirituality and crass religiosity hiding an ideology of violence and mayhem; insanity as a way of life. Symptomatic of this are two horrific attacks on hapless people. The latest is a vicious attack on a man in Belfast by a Sudanese illegal migrant given leave to stay in Britain: 30-year-old Hadi Alodid used a knife to try and behead his victim but failed though causing severe injury. The criminal is in custody as Belfast in Northern Ireland, reminiscent of the Troubles, erupted in fiery protests against the plague of illegals who wreak havoc on locals.

This brutal assault comes soon after sickening details emerged on the mindless murder of young Henry Nowak last December, as his killer was given a minimum of 21 years in jail.

As US Vice-President J.D. Vance makes quite clear:

Henry Nowak died the same way a civilization dies: abandoned, handcuffed by authorities who neither trusted nor cared for him, and accused of hate crimes he did not commit. His murder is as tragic as it is enraging. He should still be alive today, and he would be if the last few generations of European elites had stood their ground against the politics of self-hatred and the mass invasion of migrants, many of whom despise the West and the people who love it.

Henry was far from the first to so needlessly lose his life, and I fear he won’t be the last. Each time a life like his is lost, the proper response—the only response—is righteous anger. One of the most important things the Trump administration has proven to the world is that stopping the flow of mass migration and defending national sovereignty is a matter of political will and leadership. Anything else is an excuse.

It is because we love the West that we want to preserve it. We love our civilization. We love our country. We love our children. And nobody—nobody—should ever die the way that Henry Nowak died. May God comfort those who loved him, and may God rest his soul.

And US Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, expands on this theme touching on the precarious position of the West, and the need to focus on its survival on the 82nd anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy:

As a former superintendent of this cemetery once said, looking over the graves: there they are still serving their country. Eight-two years ago today, the survival of Western civilization hung in the balance. Dark forces had swept across Europe…Without Operation Overlord, we would not have the free world we know today. Together with our allies, America saved Western civilization.

This day [is] an annual reminder of the heavy cost of freedom, but also a reminder as we look out at those crosses of what it takes and we ask ourselves again, do we have it? Today, as we face an increasingly complex threat environment, we apply the lessons from 82 years ago learned on these beaches. Strong allies, each fully committed to doing their part, win wars…

In the years since these beaches, much of the West in some places, in some quarters, and in some capitals grew comfortable. We forgot that freedom is not free. We forgot that peace is not wished into being. It is bought with purpose, with honor, and with strength. The men who landed on these beaches knew this. The question we ask ourselves is, do we? It’s past time we remember what they knew. Their legacy demands far more than quiet reflection. It requires our active vigilance.

Sadly, today, different European beaches are stormed by different dangerous ideologies: in Spain, in Italy, in Greece and Bulgaria. Boats and men arrive. When will European capitals do something about that invasion? Or is it too late? I pray not, and I believe not. The men who fought and died here restored freedom to Europe. That freedom must be maintained by this generation of leaders and war fighters, or what they fought for was merely temporary

Fortified by readiness, shared military capabilities, and an unwavering political will. Our world is safer and more prosperous when the United States of America and our allies are strong, free, and unapologetic in defense of our western tradition of freedom. That is June 6th. That is 1944. That is D-Day.

Today, it is estimated that more illegal immigrants have landed on British shores since 2018 than troops on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day:

The complicity of European elites in facilitating the invasion of their countries by illegals via open invitation in the form of open borders and expenditure of taxpayers’ money on them is an act of betrayal. There are no logical, common sense, nor reasonable arguments that can or have been presented for initiating a mode of self-destruction. This only reflects the unnatural tolerance of all that is intolerant towards western values, spiritual practices or sense of patriotism (or remnants thereof). This is enshrined in the peculiar form of policing that has infected the UK. Through the ideological bane of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) two-tier policing in Britain—wherein White people are deliberately treated unfairly or unequally under the law—is a murderous reality. Predictably, this dangerous ideology has resulted in 18-year-old Henry Nowak’s brutal death. It has also led earlier to the fiasco of a British Police Community Support Officer losing his job: because he was curious about Islam during a police diversity training programme. His sins included merely asking questions about Hamas, jihad and Islam.

The demo began outside Southampton Central Police Station before moving to the location where Henry was stabbed and the home of the killer’s family; credit: AFP.

Meanwhile, to ensure a productive role for DEI training courses carry on as part of an ongoing scam siphoning away national funds to pay for the useless, unnecessary, and dangerous. Unsurprisingly, DEI training leads to catastrophic outcomes. We are told that the North Yorkshire Police spent £211,000 on leadership, diversity, and inclusion training, a programme conducted from 2022-2023 for 1,500 people. The Metropolitan Police Service’s current DEI expenditure is a trifling £3.2 million. However, that is rising to £5.22 million pounds annually for its culture, diversity and inclusion unit: which has 64 staff. To add grave insult to injury and death it has also been revealed by journalist Samara Gill (my italics):

Hampshire police attempted to issue a public statement during the murder trial of Henry’s killer, Vickrum Singh Digwa, in what prosecutors reportedly warned could risk the integrity of the case….Even us as journalists were not allowed to talk about the case while it was going on so that we wouldn’t, of course, hurt the outcome of it. But apparently, the police thought it might be okay to issue some sort of statement…

The force said they wanted to tackle what it described as misinformation circulating online, but the Crown Prosecution Service advised against releasing the statement while the trial was ongoing.

[The Sunday Times] also reports that in the days after Henry’s death, the force wanted to issue a statement that would have betrayed him as the aggressor in the incident. This is days after. This is almost like them, in my opinion, admitting to guilt and saying that they wanted to basically get the first statement out there to cover themselves. They wanted to portray Henry as the aggressor. Can you believe this? This is absolutely insane. The wording was reportedly changed after objections from his grieving family. By that stage, the police had significant evidence that Digwa’s account of events was false. The case had already shocked the country…

Digwa was later convicted of murder. This is a murder trial we’re talking about, and the police are trying to cover their tracks. Just try to understand how insane that is. The fallout has of course triggered a national debate about policing culture, diversity training, and whether officers are becoming more concerned about allegations of racism and discrimination than exercising basic common sense. We know now that Henry Nowak had no history of racism. There was nothing in his character that was shown to the courts that he had made any racist comments, or any history of it. And the judge backed that up. So, the fact that the police were trying to release this while the case was still going on is egregious.

This is the heinous state of British policing that defies all reason, common sense, decency or humanity. It should be noted that despite Henry’s plea to the police: “I’ve been stabbed,” he was handcuffed, and the DEI trained cop responded, “I don’t think you have, mate”—this is verified by bodycam footage released by the police with permission from Henry’ devastated family. This is not from a film script, it actually happened.

Nowak bled out after Digwa stabbed him five times in his legs and in his heart in a cowardly attack following a night out on Dec. 3, 2025. In court, Henry’s father said: “There is a Henry-shaped hole in our family forever, and nothing will heal that.” Lucy Ross, Henry’s mother, also said in a statement to the court that: “The circumstances of her son’s death were ‘so tragic and unimaginable that the pain is beyond anything I knew existed’. She said Henry had been the first grandchild of her parents to go to university, and it was a moment that had ‘filled all of us with immense pride’.”

Henry’s godmother, Kelly Hatchard, in reaction to the brutal image of the dying boy being handcuffed by police and told callously that they disbelieved he had been stabbed:

This image, we will never, ever be able to erase from our minds. Family, friends and now the world will have seen that image, and we all have to live with it forever.

Shame on the monster who took you, shame on the police officer who should have helped you and shame on the organisation that trained the police officer to side with an incorrect racist slur over a dying young man. Shame on you all!

To show how far the madness has gone, how far the rot has reached the core of the West, how far gone British governments have become—on the truth of two-tier policing in the UK its so-called Deputy PM and Justice Secretary David Lammy actually re-defined the term ‘equality’ for humanity: “Equality does not always necessarily mean the same”; as he explains further different people can be given preferential treatment. This is not a joke. He makes a memorable fictional character, but alas, the fellow is quite real. The Cambridge Dictionary defines ‘equality’ as: “The right of different groups of people to have a similar social position and receive the same treatment”. However, Orwell said it better than Lammy: “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others”. It should not surprise anyone that only milksop quisling British premier Keir Starmer would appoint such a man as his number two.

We are the hollow men
We are the stuffed men
Leaning together
Headpiece filled with straw. Alas!
Our dried voices, when
We whisper together
Are quiet and meaningless…

This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper.

There is no greater tyranny than that which is perpetrated under the shield of the law and in the name of justice.

The Spirit of the Laws, Montesquieu (1689–1755), French jurist, thinker, and political philosopher. His ideas influenced the American founding fathers.

This has to be seen in the wider context of the suicidal drive towards self-immolation engulfing the West. The influx of illegal migrants (euphemistically called ‘asylum seekers’) has enhanced two-tier policing; for it gives leeway to be tolerant of illegals over citizens who protest the criminal behaviour of some of these illegals but are taken to task for that; these continuing arrivals are part of a force that soak up state monies doled out to them as welfare—an arrangement no one voted for. This in turn has repercussions, it has generated and worked in tandem with the enforced artificial form of policing that gives the benefit of the doubt to anyone non-White. Notwithstanding, the illegals keep taking, commit atrocities and the state provides them with support. Citizens who protest this are treated as offenders. This is a two-tier justice system in which the law has been corrupted and used as a shield for illegals and certain criminals while using the truncheon on law-abiding citizens and people. The extrapolation of this explains what happened to Henry Nowak; any opposition to illegals flooding the country which the electorate did not ask for is regarded as ‘racism’. And there is apparently no greater crime on earth than racism: not even the possession of a nuclear capability by a death-obsessed Iranian regime; the murder and sexual assault of citizens by illegals; the rapid rise of a brutal Islamism and attack on Christianity (the basic faith of Europe); the demographic replacement of locals by those who hate their culture and the society they are taking over—none of this is iniquitous compared to ‘racism’, even when such an accusation is false. This is an ineluctable descent into madness; the result of the loss of spirituality in the West, the increased timidity of its people compared to illegals, and the escalating brutalisation of Reason.

Mark Levin, an author and commentator who worked for Reagan’s Attorney-General says:

You see we have a modern crusade going on today spreading through all of Europe. Spreading through Africa. The Christians being slaughtered in Nigeria and Sudan and Congo…

You see that movements are taking place throughout Europe. This crusade: London has been conquered. Paris has been conquered and other [European] cities have been conquered. Numerous mosque and Islamic segregated communities are popping up throughout the Western world. Including our country [US]. Huge numbers…

They [western advocates of Islamism and untrammelled immigration] cannot even defend their own cultures in their own populations. Yet they are demanding the Israelis surrender theirs [their country, culture, existence].

This is indicative of a civilisational struggle and battle; it helps frame what is happening, i.e. the entire European debacle; the dire situation in Europe is not only a matter of lack of civil integration or assimilation of illegal migrants into hosts states, nor their evident contempt for the Europeans, their culture, spiritual beliefs or religious practices—this is a civilisational clash that is becoming a zero-sum scenario. The use of terms such as ‘multiculturalism’, ‘diversity’, ‘tolerance’, ‘empathy’ to try and contextualise the issue is but obfuscation; these words have morphed into Orwellian ‘doublespeak’ or as it is known in 1984: doublethink. The original meaning of such words have positive implications but are perverted into all that is nefarious for a society and country.

In our time, the lyrics from Elgar’s stirring “Land of Hope and Glory” can only be seen as ironic, for some of the lines reflect how freedom is quintessential to Britain and indeed the West; but that is hardly the reality given the casting of anyone who criticises mass immigration as ‘Far Right’ (whatever that means), and prosecution of those in the UK for social media posts that go against the diktats of the Starmer regime in the guise of legislation, e.g. concerning certain violent ideologies mistaken as religion, and problems created by illegals or the Woke gang. This political scam of ‘racism’ comes down to ‘hate speech’, or what you will. Nothing substantial, concrete, weighty; all fluff.

The lyrics:

Mother of the Free
How shall we extol thee
Who are born of thee?…

Thine equal laws, by Freedom gained
Have ruled thee well and long;
By Freedom gained, by Truth maintained…

A stern and silent pride
Not that false joy that dreams content
With what our sires have won;
The blood a hero sire hath spent
Still nerves a hero son.

Respect for Truth or equality of the law, never mind freedom, manifestly do not exist in many parts of Europe, Britain in particular. The words above seem to come from another world. It is reasonable to say that Ronald Reagan, Vance, Hegseth, and perhaps even Montesquieu would agree with what is expressed in those lines from Elgar. Freedom that is fragile, hard won through battle; harder still to maintain once it is achieved; it is always a struggle to have freedom of thought, speech, the use of Reason to strengthen a nation when forces within it resist that. That Britain was an empire once is irrelevant. It is no longer that but it has contributed much to so many for generations, despite the problems that came with it. If the values of the West form a system that is anathema to those who arrive on their shores illegally—why then are they there? Because they believe it is a better place compared to where they come from? But if they cannot fit in and expect their host country to become like the states they purportedly run from, then why leave those places? Unless it is for purely destructive purposes, and to vampirically drain a country of its life-blood, resources and feed off and on its people. Britain and parts of Europe have become enclaves of the third world: it is a deliberate surrender by elites, advocated by the ‘human rights’ network and buttressed by European courts: but is this what European citizens truly want, vote for, or intend their national treasuries to fund? Is this what they desire or choose rationally for themselves, their families, their futures?

The terms used today are Orwellian and boost the current disastrous state of affairs. Classic examples from Orwell of doublethink are the slogans: ‘War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, and Ignorance is Strength’. These must be regarded as implying the reverse as well which is most apposite to our times: ‘Peace is War’ so what is the problem with conflict in certain contexts? If Ukraine or Russia refuse to sit down and negotiate an end to the conflict it is only in the interests of peace. ‘Slavery is Freedom’; slavery is a form of freedom: if some ‘religious’ texts allow for slavery then its followers are free to enforce it. ‘Strength is Ignorance’; strength can be acquired through ignorance: critical thought, Reason nor the quest for truth are important; political correctness is what fortifies a society—the West has been effectively numbed into a catatonic state such that it has accepted over years mass illegal migration to the extent that it is well-nigh impossible to reverse it without potential violence. Apply this to what is being force-fed to western minds for over a generation on ‘diversity’. These terms signify cognitive dissonance which was formulated post-Orwell, but is essentially doublethink. A person’s aversive psychological state is turned into consonance as contradictory beliefs are forced into a harmony of acceptance—“the magnitude of dissonance depends on the importance of the elements and the degree of inconsistency, leading individuals to reduce tension by changing cognitions, adding consonant ones, or minimizing the importance of dissonant elements”. Hence, the West is brainwashed into thinking ‘Diversity is Strength’, ‘The Ideology of Violence is the Religion of Peace’, ‘White legs bad all others including Non-binary and Rainbow Coloured ones good’, so forth. This is hilarious if it is not for the actuality that lives are being destroyed, societies hollowed out of wealth and sanity, and self-evisceration made a way of life: this is the way the West ends, not with a bang but a compliant lowering of the neck before the sword.

Time is not in the West’s favour, and its people are clearly being replaced demographically by the invaders as western birthrates, like its societies, are decidedly in decline. Truth be told, sadly, diversity now means monolithic compliance; ‘religion of peace’ means one of war, violence, abuse of all kinds; religions that are peaceful like Buddhism or Zen or Taoism are somehow never described as religions or paths of peace—because the diabolical inversion of meaning does not apply to them. For the perversion of woke terminology or Orwellian inversion to work it would mean that these spiritual ways that represent peace must essentially call for war and violence: and we know they do nothing of the kind. Therefore, as extension of the linguistic perversion there can never be Hindu-Shinto-Buddhist-Taoist-Christian-Zoroastrian-Agnostic-Atheist phobias: because none mentioned give any such reason for actual or irrational fear. But there are indeed phobias such as agoraphobia or arachnophobia. However, the deliberate doublethink applied to ‘religion’ linking it to the term ‘phobia’ is meant to pervert the meaning of phobia and obscure the fact that there are rational reasons for the fear against the ‘religion of peace’—the inversion and obfuscation has made many think that this type of ‘phobia’ which is not irrational is additionally a form of insult, discrimination or, most illogical of all: racism. How an ideology or even a genuine religion is turned into race or ethnicity is a semantic perversion of the lowest order: tragically, it has worked.

There is no phobia when there is fear of a ‘religion’ whose teachings want you dead, murdered, abused in all ways, replaced, conquered, converted, amputated as a form of punishment, or beheaded as could have happened in Belfast days ago—it is quite rational to fear this. It is also a rational response to see as a threat and act of aggression: any ‘religion’ that allows adherents to stop traffic on roads, and disrupt life in western cities and city squares because mass outdoor prayer has to be conducted. If there is no fear or serious concern generated by all that has been mentioned or any proper reaction against this, then absolute irrationality or insanity has set in. There is no need for ‘phobias’ as there can be no hope for a society that continually allows this. That is why a civilisational crisis has occurred in the West; everyone else has to gird up their loins to resist this if it comes their way.

And the ultimate injustice is that the political, security and justice system of the West enforces compliance to the whole mass of doublethink. Those who have surrendered powers of reasoning—thanks to failing education systems, rampant social media abuse, corrupt mainstream media, governments, Establishments, and a weakened spirituality—are correspondingly discombobulated, often unsure what to think regarding all that is taking place especially when their governments further gaslight them into thinking they are the perpetrators, and the actual perpetrators are innocent: hence, the tragedy of Henry Nowak. This unjustified sense of guilt imposed on the present through inaccurate historical teachings of what occurred in the past and how other civilisations are less guilty of wrongs and by virtue of that better than the West: have created a bizarre sense of guilt culminating in suicidal and homicidal empathy—which not only causes blinding as to who to take sides with but to take the side of killers and those who intend to brutalise you. This national and continental tragedy is turning into Grand-Guignol on an epic scale.

This places a great burden on certain Asian civilisations, apart from Trump’s America, Israel, and a handful of European states trying to stand up to the danger all this represents. Japan, India and South Korea have democratic traditions influenced by the West and can be regarded as the current Asian bastions keeping their societies as they are meant to be; they have the wherewithal to resist pressure placed upon them to turn into borderless states, for instance. China may be included but it depends on its political inclinations as to what serves its perceived interests vis-a-vis the US. But the onslaught upon the West continues. For the West to halt its fall, there is no way but to fight its way out if needed, and at the same time focus on prayer—genuine prayer—asking for support to fight the good fight. That time is arriving sooner than many think. Some western states, and certainly Britain, are waiting for general elections to hopefully place into office those who may do what it takes to save their countries; but it is a long haul struggle and they have the Establishment, courts and police forces—backed by European elites—to fight with to stop further degradation of their societies. Reversing it will take exceptional courage, political and national will. The West has to decide, as it waits for these democratic events to occur, that if they fail in this struggle whether they will accept collapse and become lambs for the slaughter, or go down fighting.

As Dylan Thomas writes, “Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.”

And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.—Quran, 8:60.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
They are brought to their knees and fall.
